Drive to Manchester

Today we hung out at the house, and Ben and Chris drove Matt and Carole to Manchester, and dropped off the rental car.

We started the morning with coffee and a breakfast of English meat pies. We all enjoyed some good conversation, and then while a part of the group headed to a nearby lake, Chelsea and Chris hung out with Matt and Carole at home while they packed. Once Matt and Carole were ready to head out, Ben and Chris drove them to Manchester and returned our rental car.

Ben, Chris, Matt, and Carole enjoyed a final pub meal together in a town called Horwich. Chels and the rest of the crew went out to dinner at an Indian restaurant, and had drinks at home following.

Once Ben and Chris had dropped Matt and Carole, they trained home which was fairly lengthy at 2 hours(not counting wait time and train changes). On their last leg home Ben and Chris were entertained by drunk English “lads” singing and chanting loudly, and dancing in the aisles.

Once Ben and Chris arrived at the station in Grange-Over-Sands, Chelsea, Melissa and Emma met them there, to walk the promenade at night and admire an absolutely amazing full moon. Afterwards we all went to sleep, having fully enjoyed our last day as a group!Læs mere
