Oktoberfest

Today we explored the Oktoberfest festival, and enjoyed a day of festivities with our friends.

We all started the day with breakfast at the hotel, before training into the city to enter the Oktoberfest festival. Once in the festival we grabbed a table within one of the beer halls, and started our first round! The beer hall was super fun inside, with tons of decorations and live music. We headed from the first hall into another hall, and got a great change of scenery. The music, beer, and overall vibe was completely different with each new hall.

After the beer halls we enjoyed a number of outdoor beer gardens as the day progressed, and we also enjoyed a number of authentic German meals, including things like curry wurst, pretzels, schnitzel, etc. We sampled a number of desserts like toasted and caramelized nuts as well!

To end the afternoon we hopped on a number of rides. The Ferris wheel and the swings gave amazing views of the city, and we also enjoyed bumper cars and tried out the toboggan as the evening progressed. The toboggan was a super challenging moving conveyor belt that you try to ride up a hill on, and Chris had a pretty funny fall on it!Weiterlesen
