Exploring Munich

Today we took it easy and explored Munich.

We started our day with breakfast at the hotel with our group, and then all split up for various agendas. We headed out with Sean and Ryan, and headed first into the Octoberfest to secure our vip passes for our reserved tables tomorrow. Next we headed to the English Garden, which is a massive garden in Munich, equivalent to Munich’s Central Park. At the park we watched the river surfers, who surf regularly on the river running through the park which was been narrowed with rocks to make a unique surf able wave.

After enjoying the surfers and walking through the park, we headed to Marienplatz where we climbed to the top of the church there for views of the city. Afterwards we enjoyed some doner kebab and drinks at the nearby beer garden, before walking to dinner at Augustiner Beer Hall.

It was a relaxing day, with more hectic Oktoberfest festivities tomorrow!Read more
