Amsterdam to Switzerland

Today we traveled from Amsterdam to Switzerland, and said goodbye to all of our friends and family(except for Henry who tagged along!).

We started our day with a quick breakfast and coffee and Nicole and William’s house before saying our goodbyes and ubering to the airport. Once there we spent some time in the lounge and grabbed lunch, before an uneventful flight to Switzerland.

Once we’d landed in Geneva we picked up our rental car, and hit the road! Our first stop was Chillon Castle, which is an impressive castle built onto Lake Geneva. Right next to it is the Chillon Fort, which is a world war 2 fortification built into a mountain(all you see is a rock mountain with windows and artillery sticking out). We didn’t have time to tour the old world war 2 bunker fortifications, but we did find them super impressive from the outside.

We walked all around Chillon Castle, and took a number of pictures, before heading on with our travels. We had a few hours of driving with our end destination being Täsch. Tomorrow we plan to explore Zermat, but that town is only accessible by train, so Täsch was as far as we could get today.
