Paragliding Grindelwald

Today we paraglided over Grindelwald, and explored Lucerne’s historic Old Town.

We started our day with breakfast and coffee at our hotel, and then hit the road early to Grindelwald to meet our paragliding instructors at the gondola in town. After meeting our instructors, we took the gondola to the peak of First, where we unpacked our paragliders and talked through safety. Just Chris and Henry opted to paraglide, and Chelsea acted as videographer from the top of the mountain. In just a few moments, Chris and Henry were off, floating over the city of Grindelwald, and getting magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and forest. The paragliding was so fun, and really exhilarating. Part of the ride involved tricks, so both Chris and Henry got to experience an in-air 360 degree loop de loop.

After the paragliding we opted to skip our planned hike in the area as fog and clouds were starting to roll in. We drove to our next stop, Lucerne. In Lucerne Chelsea got some rest at the hotel, and Chris and Henry did a bit of exploring of the city. Lucerne is a neat medieval city with a river running through the middle, and Chris and Henry checked out the old town quarter, and explored the medieval city wall.
