Ein Gedi Natural Reserve was an oasis in the middle of the desert, it had flowing streams and the end destination was David Waterfall. We had to do a trek still but it was much more manageable and easier compared to Masada. There were streams I could soak my feet into and there was much greenery around the trail. We saw some cute looking critters such at the ibex and the hyrax. We passed through some caverns, natural bridges and smaller waterfalls until David's. Seemed like we were first so we had ample time to relax and enjoy the view, there was even a rainbow at the bottom. The hike back was still chill and we were somehow still earlier than everyone still so we got the chance to talk to our guide and learned a bit more about Ein Gedi, Jerusalem and even the Muslim naming culture as well as Palestine. Turns out that it's pretty common to name the first child after the father and the father before him to keep the legacy going. I was still eating my brownies at this point which funnily enough was quickly becoming less and less appetizing after each piece.
