Travel Day- BWI- San Juan- 29°F to 29°C

It was an early morning- and even worse for me- very little sleep last night. We left the house at 6, and all was fine until some sort of activity near Ft Meade. It set up some delays, but we ended up at Long Term Parking by 7:20- which was ok, except that we didn't get a shuttle bus for another half hour... And it was packed.

We got our luggage tags, then headed for the Help Desk to get the TSA Pre✓ thing straightened out. Pit stop- and while there, we were called to board. Luckily uneventful flight.

The taxi service in San Juan is pretty cool. In order to protect the passengers, there are fixed-price zone rates with additional charge per bag. The rep gives you a piece of paper with the fare, which you give to the driver. Pay cash. Our fare from the airport to Courtyard Marriott Miramar was $23.

The Hotel was very nice. We were rebated the "Visitor Tax" of $17 in sodas and cookies from their marketplace.

Dinner was at Los Pinos. We got a Sampler and ate about half.
