June 3- Corfu

We did an excursion around the island and to the Adams estate that is now a museum. The history as seen through the architecture is fascinating - ancient temples, medieval castles, fortifications against the Ottomans, Victorian buildings

The old town has the church of Saint Spyridon whose tower appears over little streets. Of course, I lit a candle. There are lots of interesting shops. We stopped for gelato, tasted some kumquats, and W got a ballcap. Then a sit for bevs. I ordered a peach something or other, but received a purple something that tasted just fine.Read more
