Balinese Outings

Retreat has been great. Always starting out day with a gentle morning practice followed by a wonderful Balinese breakfast. Over the last couple of days, we have experienced a couple great adventures. First was a trip to the Tirta Empul Temple, founded in 962AD, where we participated in a purification process. The holy water springs bubble up and feed the 3 sacred purification pools containing numerous waterspouts for cleansing the body, mind, soul. The second adventure was an outing into Ubud to stroll along a ridge walk prior to shopping and a visit to the monkey forest. Skies opened up and we changed our plans while we enjoyed a few hours of a tropical rain storm. Sporting new rain ponchos, we made our way to a nice restaurant over looking gf rice fields.Read more
