Up early, got to the airport quickly, so nice to get there is just over half an hours versus 5 hours from CB. Fly north to SFO, that felt exciting but it rained hard there and visibility prevented any views of the city.

Nice window seats on both flights, great view of the Sea of Cortez on the way to San Jose del Cabo. Went through customs pretty fast and picked up both bags. The wing foil got to fly for free, bonus.

The rental car pickup was also easy despite warnings of excessive insurance charges which were in line with what was to be expected.

On the drive to La Ventana I picked up Patricia, a French lady who works in logistics for medicins sans frontières. As darkness was closing in I made sure to set her up with the next ride to La Paz as I had to turn off to LV. It was a pleasant and informative conversation in French.Leggi altro
