I missed this little town by 2.6 k yesterday. So I'm going to hike from below to get there today and this way I'll have more time to spend there. It's the highest town in Bosnia Herzegovina and it's probably one of the few that has maintained its originality from centuries ago.
I meet up on the trail with the French couple I met yesterday and we got to exchange some good information. They'll be headed the same way south as I am on a slightly different schedule.
The scenery is stunningly beautiful and the trail is completely worth the hike. At one point it felt like hiking right off a cliff into a 400m drop but some other trail managed to get down there. Views that rival the Dolomites.
The little town is run by 17 locals who live there in the summer managing a herd of sheep and knitting litems for the few tourists who come by and there are also three little restaurants.Read more
