Plockton

This place in the Highlands I think is the most magical place that I've ever been to. If you look across the bay you can see a castle. Used to be a school and then was bought by a Kiwi and turned into luxury accommodation.

I was surprised to see four different types of NZ plants growing there (it's a sheltered spot, apparently). One of the residents told me that the cabbage tree has been renamed the Plockton Palm. 🙂Read more
