Sennen Cove

Overcast, but generally fine.
Just out of Pendeen we walked through the remains of the Geevor tin and lead mines. and then the Iron Age Kenidjack Castle, near Cape Cornwall.
A walk around Cape Cornwall, then on to Sennen Cove, with a quick dip in the ocean, just before we arrived.

Established in 1853 , the Lifeboat at Sennen Cove faces some of the most challenging conditions to be found anywhere round the coast of the UK for lifeboat operations.
The Station is protected to some extent from the full force of the Atlantic Ocean by the high cliffs of Pedn-men-du.
After looking through their museum, we watched as they took the lifeboat out for a practice run, returning in thick sea fog.
