Today's cruise was very similar to our previous one; six locks in hot weather. There were lots of lovely wildflowers in the verges and pleasant rural views. High speed swallows scooped water from the canal before returning to catching bugs for their young. The trees and hedges hid songbirds that filled the air with their tuneful chirps. We're feeling so happy to be on this journey. The Trent and Mersey really is a gorgeous place to be this time of year.Read more
