Barcoo River

A nostalgic visit to Tambo today while continuing north. The Tambo Teddies store is still going strong so we dropped in to check out the latest additions. We did find a close relation of our own Drensmain Dudley (well Amanda's actually). Tambo really embraces their history and has many restored buildings and historic points of interest. We enjoyed a walk up and down the main street. A little further on to another free camp on the banks of the (dry) Barcoo River. It seems some places have had some good rain recently but others not so much. The country is really looking pretty good to my uneducated city slicker eye.Read more
