We left the Yorke Peninsular with mixed feelings. Parts of it were lovely but with the incessant wind and the crowded time of year we probably didn't see it at it's best.
Heading north the scenery started to change with less of the brown open grain fields and more bush and greenery. Made our way to a Council controlled stopover called Bowman Park near the small town of Crystal Brook. A really interesting spot that was originally a homestead called "Crystal Brook Run" running sheep and growing wheat but has been through quite a few lives since it's original purpose. It has apparently been used as a youth camp, rodeo ground, speedway and flora and fauna park. Parts of the original homestead are still visible.Read more
