A fairly big day for us travelling from Crystal Brook, through Port Pirie, up to the top of the Spencer Gulf through Port Augusta and then west to the town of Kimba.
Now a centre for grain distribution, Kimba bills itself as "Half Way Across Australia". The local community have done a great job providing facilities for travelers here with two dedicated free camp areas. We stayed at Kimba Pioneer Memorial Park with lovely clean toilets and showers, water and rubbish bins available and nice clean quiet area. A fantastic camp kitchen was also available but we didn't get to use it.Read more
