Memorial for the Murdered Jews

This is a memorial in honor of the Jews who were murdered by the Nazis. There are 2,711 slabs in the memorial. The setup is not a "maze" but is disorienting/confusing. This was done on purpose. The artist picked 2,711 slabs for a reason. However, he would never publicly say why. He would always say it was open to interpretation.
The paths were very narrow, and the ground wasn't flat (it was like you were going up and down miniature hills). We were given some time to walk around and given a meetup point. Even knowing where the point was, it was even disorienting for me a little.Read more
