Night Before Departure

Wednesday 28th March – Emerald, Australia

I stood outside under a completely clear sky and marveled at the starry display overhead. As I scanned along the brilliant band of stars that we know as the Milky Way I could not help but think that the next time I would see the stars would be from African soil. After almost two years of planning and dreaming it our African Adventure was about to get underway. My bags were already packed and waiting by the front door for the trip to Tullamarine and the start of our long journey to Cape Town.
