    The red bridge in Campbell Town. Built by convicts and used 1,250,000 handmade bricks.
    Built in 1838 using penal labour, it is the oldest surviving brick arch bridge in Australia.The trail of bricks is dedicated to the nearly 200,000 convicts who were transported to Australia.It's very sad to read these convicts' stories.Nowadays, you get a slap on the hand.Ross Town Bridge. Built by convictsThe Ross Methodist Church built in 1885Callington Mill is a Lincolnshire tower mill built in 1837 in Oatlands, Tasmania.A humble 2 bedroom cottage that was home to the miller. The cottage was situated close to the mill.third oldest windmill in the continent ,which makes it one of Tasmania's major tourist attractionsJust a sample of the beautiful stone buildings in OatlandsAfter dinner, some of us decided to have a wander around the marina in the Salamanca area.

    Road Trip from Launceston to Hobart

    Left Launceston and started our trip back to Hobart today. We had plenty of stops along the way, visiting some beautiful little towns and learning about their history. Arrived in Hobart late afternoon, unpacked the van, and moved into our apartment. Then, we walked to the Salamanca area for tea.Read more
