Joshua Tree National Park

This hike was rated "strenuous" but only because it involved scrambling up and over rocks. Tremendous earth forces shaped this unusual land of granite monoliths. The cholla cactus adds interest to this arid land. It was a comfortable 18 degrees C today and I can't imagine what it would be like in the summer months when the temperature is in the 40s! When we reached the peak we had a picnic amongst the rocks and enjoyed the amazing view.Read more
