Next stop was at the Tillamook Creamery, a farmer-owned cooperative of 80 farmers. The Creamery offers self-guided tours and cheese samples. The place was packed with people and we consumed way too much delicious cheese. It was a good thing that they weren’t also offering ice cream samples! At Neahkahnie Mountain viewpoint we got our one and only photo of the three sisters. It was a beautiful but sad stop as a young college woman had recently fallen to her death here and there was a memorial placed by her grieving mother. We made a brief stop at Otter Rock lookout where we spotted several grey whales quite close to shore. Nancy is the best at spotting whale spouts initially and then it is easy for us to follow the pod. This was a perfect end to our day!Read more
