Grey, cloudy skies greeted us in Halifax but at least there was no rain. Our first stop was Pier 21, the Canadian Museum of Immigration. Here we read the stories of immigrants, troops and wartime evacuees that arrived from Europe by ship. When air travel became the main form of transportation Pier 21 was closed. There was a lot of reading involved and some repetition in exhibits so we weren’t overly impressed with this museum. From here John & Ed headed to the nearby Garrison Brewery and that was the last we saw of them. Janet & I carried on with a self-guided walking tour of the downtown area.Read more
