Lake Pukaki

We are in the most beautiful spot! For the first time on our trip We are completely alone- no other campers in sight. We are parked on the edge of the lake with a perfect view of Mt. Cook in front of us. (the highest mountain in NZ) The best part about this spot is it's free! We found a free public dumping station earlier today so we are filled with water and ready to go for a few days. We went for a chilly evening swim to wash off. Andreas lasted in the water a bit longer than I did. We spent the rest of the night exploring the lake. Andreas found a few natural whips- he got pretty good at taking the tops off of the local mushrooms.Læs mere
