    170m well outside the city wallViewing platform where you can imagine how the charge of the Aust. Light Horse Brigade charged Beersheba in WWRock stacks - used as foundations where a timber post held up the roofWater Cistern at Tel Sheva. It was filled by flash flood waters channeled into it from outside the cityHuge cistern. We went down the steps and came out through the dry valley bedWayne and AlanWhere the water ran in to fill the cistern.

    A well was dug by Abraham and contested by the shepherds of Lot. In the ruins we looked at there was a well 70m deep, and also a water cistern that was filled by flash floods from Hebron Valley.
