It was filled by flash flood waters channeled into it from outside the cityHuge cistern. We went down the steps and came out through the dry valley bedWayne and AlanWhere the water ran in to fill the cistern.

    A well was dug by Abraham and contested by the shepherds of Lot. In the ruins we looked at there was a well 70m deep, and also a water cistern that was filled by flash floods from Hebron Valley.
