Up early after long work week and a short drive to Heathrow. With our new Amex cards, we had access to the Centurion Lounge and got to enjoy breakfast and coffee before our flight. 7 hours to Logan where our Ford Expedition awaited - along with Grandma Connie! We got a massive extended brand new rental car and had a short drive to our Airbnb. After check-in, we went to Target where we bought way too many snacks that they don’t sell in the UK (twinkies, Dots pretzels, muffins, real Cheerios, Doritos and tortilla chips and salsa, nutrigrain bars) and then stopped at a nearby liquor store for American whisky and wine. We spent way too much but I’m sure we will be able to finish it all. After unloading, we walked to a nearby recommended Mexican restaurant for an early dinner.
