We were up at 6 for an early ferry to the island. We all piled into one car, with the boys in the way back and headed down to the water. An hour later we were on Nantucket. We walked to Brandt Point Lighthouse (which was surprisingly small) and then out to Jetties beach, which was a nice 20 minute walk past some lovely 15+ mil oceanside houses. The kids swam a bit and we sat in the beach, before grabbing a quick drink and ubering over to Cisco Brewery. Such a fun spot! Delicious beer and drinks and food trucks. Hudson had his first oyster (loved it), shrimp cocktail and pizza. Tige’s pulled pork was another fav, as were Gid’s sliders and Elliot’s burrito. I had my first lobster roll- incredible!
After lunch we took a shuttle back to the middle of town and walked and shopped for a few hours. We grabbed the famous handmade ice cream at the juice bar, and hung at the park before our ferry back. Such a lovely day! Heading home now for dinner to celebrate Marsh’s birthday. Yummy wings and sandwiches before heading home for bed.Read more
