    Iceland or bust

    November 23, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 46 °F

We bought our tickets months ago, so it’s hard to believe that we are finally leaving. We’ll be hopping on a jet in a few hours that will carry us up and over the globe to Iceland. The flight clocks in at 7 hours and 25 minutes, with an arrival time of 0555 on Sunday. Although that seems early, the sunrise isn’t scheduled until 10:24.

Iceland isn’t the premiere winter destination, with cold temperatures, high humidity, and unrelenting wind; however, it affords us great opportunities to see the Northern lights. Bucket list item 132 or so. With only 6 and a half hours of sunlight each day, I’m excited about our chances to see the aurora borealis.
