Home Again

Coming home is always a chore. We got up at 3:30am on Monday (local time) and flew Vietnam to Hong Kong to LA to Denver. We arrived at home at 8pm on the same long Monday, after about 29 hours of traveling.

Before I close on another great trip, here’s my top 10 list for the last two weeks:
10. Learning banh mi has pâté, after eating half a sandwich.
9. Realizing that my experience playing Frogger was a lifesaver in crossing the streets of Vietnam.
8. Macaque monkeys are cute, until they spot your food.
7. Scoring a $22 North Face down jacket.
6. Always take the advice of locals! We would have skipped over amok, which was the best food we had the entire time.
5. Connecting with Mark for lunch and conversation.
4. Watching Nikki turn up the brave knob to down a shot of snake “wine.”
3. Belly laughing at Nikki and Kim’s hesitation to feed the flesh eating fish.
