Buddy Riding

After a couple of days in Hamilton, I linked up with my friend Tim to continue on the road. We cycled over to Wangariro Hotsprings, passing through the quaint town of Ngāruawāhia. Almost everything was closed but we managed to find a classic Kiwi bakery for some chips and coffee. Our home for the night was a quirky campground/motel that had obviously been a popular family spot back in the 80s. While slightly dilapidated, it still held some charm (made a little horror movie-esque by the rust and decay). All in all, a good 33km day.
