Day 2 - Gig at Fioras rained out

Today we made the drive to the Chicago area. We met up with Nick Moss who was letting us stay with him. We got to hear his band rehearsing with their new bassist Rodrigo. We then hit the road to Geneva to set up and met with our saxophonist for this tour, Tomas from Germany.

We set up and were told the weather looked perfect. They told us just in case we should set up their tent covering us. We sat down and ate dinner then began o play. Within the first song or so rain came down but lightly. After this we played another and Andrew had his bridge pop off the upright. By the next song we lost power in one amp and had to call it. As we were packing up a ton of water fell from the tent covering my back. Good times. First road show complete!

After we met back at Nick’s house for bratwurst and other sides. Mark Thompson met us. He told us stories and lots of jokes. Tomorrow we head out to St. Louis for my real first road gig. This one don’t count.Read more
