First week of placement (actually went)

Made it to the medical centre and have actually done some medic stuff over the past few days!!! Is weird getting used to what they have and don’t have and what I can do but is pretty cool, I baso have freedom to do anything. There’s also no doctor in the whole place ahahaha, but is pretty much like a GP so kids with sore throats and lots of UTIs, saw someone with a crazy high blood sugar today and they just gave her some fluids. There’s no running water and barely any gloves so is a bit mad tbh- there were two stray dogs wondering around the place today. Also have to write the medical notes en español ahaha thank god I have a translator. Other than that have seen lots of pretty sunsets, watched the inbetweeners movie (the Americans don’t get the humour), played just dance, ate lots of yummy food and more ceviche, done lots of reading and have been in the ocean every day- it’s a tough life. Excited for the weekend!!! Still haven’t surfed but will get on it this weekendLæs mere
