The alarm went off at 4:30. Breakfast was a boxed lunch we took with us. The speed boat ride starts off not too speedy as the sea is rough. There is pitching and rolling and bumping. All the thingsLeggi altro

We arrived at 5 pm in Quito after another adventurous day of travel. As a group we had a disappointing dinner followed by yummy desert. Dinner was supposed to be the best. A choice of Fillet mignon orLeggi altro
Our visit to the old town center was a pleasant walk we began at Independence Plaza, with Presidents Palace, municipal buildings and on carried on thru streets of shops. The town was bustling withLeggi altro
We figured the Basilica deserved a footprint of its own! It was a beautiful building with amazing stained glass. Basílica del Voto Nacional is the largest neo-Gothic basilica in the Americas!
This hotsprings is over the pass from Quito. A bus ride up the mountain to a resort where we spend the night at a high altitude. 11300 feet elevation. Hot pools just outside your door.
It is a bus ride back over the pass and down the mountain to Quito airport. The pass is 13400 high and is the highest road in Ecuador. We are at the airport 2 hours before departure and it is 7:30 am.Leggi altro
