A good start to a string of days that feels very long at this point! We made up for some disappointment over missing Phoenix by booking tickets to Italy for next year. That helped considerably! 🇮🇹

A dark morning, we're expecting an atmospheric river to come through starting later today. Brightened up as well by getting in some time with my glass. I like to have music on when I'm not grinding, today the Emily in Paris soundtrack. Quite fitting as we are routing to Rome via Paris. ♥️

We did end up crossing the border after all, just by car instead of air. I haven't been to Trader Joe's for years. Still a great place to shop and the crowds in the store attest to that.

I bought some wine in another grocery store and the clerk asked me for ID. As I got it out I said I kind of thought my face was enough proof of age 😅. She didn't seem to think that was as funny as I did though.

A delicious dinner in Bellingham at a Chinese buffet seemed wise. Excellent food, and my fortune reminds me to have an interesting holiday. The utter lack of any fortune at all in Brad's was a bit perturbing though. The staff laughed and said that meant good luck for him, but we didn't quite believe them.

Home with our little family all on the couch, and sipping some - what else but Italian - coffee!Lue lisää
