The Night Before

The night before departure. I’m pretty excited. My new pack is all set up and ready to go. My flight departs at 5:00 AM tomorrow, so it will be a short night. I said my goodby to Debbie tonight to avoid waking her at 3:30 AM when I drag up out of here for the Walla Walla airport. Then it’s Seattle, Dallas, and on to Madrid, with pretty minimal layovers. If the gods of airline scheduling smile, we will arrive at 9:00 AM local time on Thursday. Time enough for lunch in Madrid, and then an afternoon train to Leon and bed.
