Biaritz, France

Went today to the spa town of Biaritz in the bay of biscay. It used to be the playground of european royalty. ..... just the right place to stop with Winnie we thought...🚙

Went with the bikes along the sea front only to stop at the first cafe .... ahhh beach bar..... we could find. 🍻🍷
Pleasantly refreshed .... 8euro per glass of wine 🫢🫢....we did some touristy stuff .... and Lesley did some shopping.

On the way home we dicovered a great old natural habour ..... of course, with great .... and cheapper ....bars and restaurants.
We decided to stay for dinner..... but we were told to come back at 19.00 when it re-opens. You ussually can judge a good restaurant by the number of local people present ... but for this one you had to queue to get in .... and what a queue it was.

In good old british tradition, Lesley joint the queue .... and I went walkabout (Germans are allergic to queuing). 😋
We got a great table and had calamri, sardines and mussles .... all washed down with some Rose.
We watched the sunset as we cycled home to winie.
Another good day.
