Lord Howe Island

We had torrential rain overnight but woke up to reasonably clear skies. We took ourselves for a walk along the foreshore of the lagoon this morning, then when we got back to our room we packed our backpacks with lunch and snorkelling gear and did the walk over to North Bay. This walk is pretty much straight up and then straight down to the beach at North Bay. We had lunch and I then had a quick snorkel, saw some turtles but the visibility was not very good. The weather turned for the worse as we got back and there was some heavy rain, cleared quickly and I was able to go down to Old Settlement Beach and do some more snorkelling there out to a spot called Sylphs hole. A great spot, so many different fish and corals it was just amazing! Glad I got to do it. All in all a good day.Meer informatie
