Zurich to Ljubljana was on a smaller and almost empty plane. We were bused from the terminal to the plane on the tarmac They served water and Swiss chocolate. Nice treat. Ljubljana is a nice small airport. Our shuttle was waiting and we were off to the city. The drive was on a smaller narrow road with scenic green fields and towns. We got settled in our hotel, which has a view of the castle and after a short rest went for supper.
We found a local Slovenia restaurant. Ed had kransky sausages and I had a pear, walnut, cheese salad with beet dressing and a strunklji, a dumpling of dough and cottage cheese. Ed had a small mug local beer and I had a glass of local wine. All was very good.
Slovenia is a very green country. Very clean and lots of cyclists, even the tourists, recycling, good water, vehicle charging stations on the streets. We even have one right outside our hotel.
