A Tour of Cusco

Today we toured the main square of Cusco and then went outside of the city to see Inca ruins. This included a water temple and the place where they kept mummies! The buildings along the main square either used a lot of the Incan buildings as a foundation or just destroyed them. Interestingly the Incan parts of the buildings are always the ones that survive the earthquakes! They really knew how to build. The main area of Cusco is so much fun to walk around. Both you and cars navigate through very narrow cobble stone streets. The city also looks pretty amazing from the top!En savoir plus
