    Morning

    June 4, 2017 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 23 °C

Roger and my am routine. He gets up about half hour before we are set to get up...usually 6am is our get up time..and does his smokers cough..and potty break. Once he gets back I start to get up as I am trying to give him his space. I usually close the curtain to get off the. ..otherwise my butt would be looking out and that just seems wrong....candidly the hardest part of the day is getting out of the bunk reaching for the steps

We go into the truck stop and shower. Very clean and organized system. Roger always gets us extra towels. Today's shower had a little note telling me Jesus loves me, a water bottle and some mints.

For sure the evening and the morning scene at the stop is different. At night...a hot mess of questionable characters...morning...clean focused regular hard working truckers. Even the behind the counter folks are better

We then will go over some inspection items and logging our activity. He usually teaches me something new as well.

Finished for the Day at the TA

    June 4, 2017 in the United States ⋅ 🌧 22 °C

Another day more miles down the road.

We drove thru LA where I saw rice paddies and where they catch crawfish... fascinating. Of course we ran I to more rain...while I was driving. It's great practice so no complaints.

I've really gotten fortunate being w Roger. He is able to plan his schedule as he sees fit which means very similar...up at 6 and done by 5ish...this far. He also teaches me a little bit more each day..he can be a little groff but he also is complimentary.

When he picks up his phone while I'm driving I know I must be doing ok...he had his phone up for a few hours today!

Each place we go get cargo is different. There are different procedures for dropping off your load and picking up either an empty trailer or loaded. The Amhesuer Busch place was HUGE but pretty easy. Roger was ready to be done so he dropped the trailer n parked. When he parked he banged into the trailer next to us....was happy to see it didn't fall over..so in case I ever do that. He shrugged...said it was a love tap. Lol

He deserves spots at the trucker stops...I think in part bc I'm a woman and he wants to be close...and part bc he wants what he wants.

The stress is for sure in finding a place to park...either at the shipper/receiver or the truck stop. Stopping early seems to be a good idea...but I would imagine every day will be an adventure. Being w Roger is a huge security blanket....I goal will be to get more comfortable FAST.

Hope you all are good. Feel free to send me updates
