The town mentioned in the previous footprint was Pula not Puna

On 17th we left Rovinj in the morning to travel to Rab Island. Arrived at the ferry stop and had a1/12 hour wait. The wind was so strong it almost blew me over on 2 occasions. It was only 20 minutes to the island another 10 minutes to the Hotel and very little wind.
Croatia has over a thousand islands of varying sizes along its coast. Many are not habitable due to size and lack of water

Rab was ettled by Illyrians in 350BC, it became ancient Roman municipality in the 1st century BC and developed into center of the eastern coast of Adriatic, called Felix Arba. Its glory days began between the second half of the XI. century all the way to XIII century, when it was governed by the Croatian rulers, as well as members of Venetian republic in a form of a free Adriatic comune. It was later sold to Venice in the 15th century and remained in their rule all the way to the 1798. when Napoleon came to these parts. I had a quick wander around the new town of Fafelji and the port when I arrived.

This morning we had a 1/12 hour walking tour of the old town. Now a relaxing afternoon and I’m waiting for a massage.
