Day 7 Vienna to Budapest

Vienna to Budapest
Temperature: Minus 1 and snowing in Vienna at 8 am with a high of 2 degrees in Budapest.

Train left only 30 minutes late, so we departed Vienna around 11 am and arrived at our hotel 2.45 pm.
Wet, dreary day, not very inviting at all.
We headed out for a 2.5 hour walk around 4 pm in rain and snow in the dark in Central Budapest and, of course, the Christmas Markets. There was no time to organise anything else, so we went with the group. By the time we arrived at the restaurant at about 7.30 pm for dinner, we were all cold and soaked through. It was wonderful to be in the dry. After a pleasant evening together, we were back out in the snow and rain for a 20 minute walk to get back to our motel. I feel sad we haven't really seen Budapest but thoroughly enjoyed their Christmas Markets.もっと詳しく
