Start your engines

We got to the track in plenty of time - very quiet this year and our usual park was ready and waiting. The layout was a little different but we found a spot with a view of our fave turn 9 and set up our chairs on a little mound. The weather was struggling and pretty cool. Of course I had inadequate clothing. As the day progressed the sun made a few efforts and sunburn was a possibility - no hats of course. Anyway we watched several support races and the all important top 10 shootout. K had catered and the smoked salmon rolls were A.MAZE.ING! We were entertained by the state of the art F35 Hornet - he had a lot of fun and it was the closest display to date - worth the price of admission right there! The race was absorbing and well driven but without crashes and safety cars (good and so so) - we had a great view of both the corner and a screen so a great day - even though the sun disappeared and it got a big too chilly for me.
