The first day of Christmas

After breakfast went to the shop to stock up only to find no alcohol sales on 25th and 26th. Terrible thing seeing a grown man weep! Bought some stuff including some real marmite (as I do in Asia). Came back after a bit of a wander around - Galle Road is quieter today than the normal chaotic scene - mainly buses and tuktuks. I did some research and some bars and restaurants are open and can serve foreigners. I phoned a Mt Lavinia Beach restaurant and he told me to come on down. I will grab one of those tuktuks and spend the afternoon there. I was met there by someone who did a good job of making it look like he was expecting me. I strongly suspect this isn't where I am supposed to be but hey - the beach is great and the beer is cold! Had a nice seafood lunch and a couple of dips in the sea.Baca selengkapnya
