City with vibes for our teenage daughters. And cherry trees literally everywhere
We still a bit ‘hangovered’ after long trip to Hiroshima so today just went to the Castle and it’s gardens . Whole city packed with families celebrating Sakura ,having fun with help of Sake . It was nice warm day but not too hot which at my age matters.
Lucky to meet Matt on our cycling (https://www.cycleosaka.com/). Originally from
Alaska he moved to Osaka 13 yrs ago - now running this city rides . Excellent guide and such a knowledgeable and eloquent communicator , he truly made our day over here . Girls learnt some history and did not get ‘bored’ !
Osaka stands out with its captivating panorama especially at night which we observed from ‘Umeda sky building’. Anita got a couple of hats ( from her amazing hubby :) so is ready for the the next leg of our adventure.
For us so far preferred city in Japan with Hiroshima taking second place. Hope will come back here one day .Read more
