We arrived in the “ugliest city in Romania”, according to all Romanians.

We obviously had other reasons than getting a contaminated shot of air for coming to Ploiesti.
Today is Paola’s birthday and we celebrated with a few local beers - Timisoreana bere, brewed in theLeer más
Before continuing our trip we decided to have a look at the “ugliest city of Romania” in daylight….and we can confirm the city is very ugly 😅

We traveled to Sinaia, a beautiful little mountain town.
We obviously had to start trying the local dishes and we shared:
- Sarmale: stuffed cabbage leaves with Mamaliga (polenta)
- Tochitura: pork,Leer más
Peleš Castle in Sinaia is where king Carlo I lived.
Amazing new-renaissance castle in a beautiful location.
Is there anything more exciting than driving up in the mountains and finding out from a sign by the road that Nevermore Academy from Wednesday’s series is 500m away?
We visited Bran Castle, wrongly named “Dracula’s Castle”, although there is no proof that Vlad Tepes (Dracula) ever stepped foot in the castle.

We came to see an old Dacian citadel, that happened to be closed, as well as the cable car that takes you up the mountain.
We decided to climb up the forest in anyway, risking our lives to wild bears.
Harman has a fortified church that’s a UNESCO heritage site.
We climbed up the bell tower with a fun-panic moment of steep stairs and bells ringing.
