Awakening in Darkness

I guess that I was a lot more tired than I thought, because the next thing that I remember was waking up at nearly three in the morning. The room must have those blackout curtains because I was in total darkness and couldn't see anything at all. I wondered if this is what being blind must feel like. Using my phone as a flashlight, I was able to find my way to the bathroom and get undressed for bed. I noticed that Kathy was wearing her pajamas so I guess that she had woken up earlier and then went back to sleep.
