The Eiffel Tower

There wasn't anything going on outside but I did get a great view of the Paris Las Vegas Eiffel Tower. An icon of the Las Vegas skyline, this high-altitude attraction has an observation deck 46 stories up and is a half scale replica of the world-famous Paris, France landmark.Meer informatie

I have to say, I'm not going to be complaining at all about how quiet everything is. I actually appreciate it because it allows me to get shots like this, without having lots of people walking in and out of my pictures. Tonight, I'm getting a much cleaner look. When I went back inside the Paris Las Vegas, it felt even more empty than it was before. I'll do one more walk around the casino floor before moving on and heading somewhere else.

As I passed the gaming tables, I saw that the same woman was still dancing. She seemed friendly and was posing for me a bit. That was so nice of her and I really appreciated it. I wish that all of the performers in Las Vegas were that accommodating.Meer informatie

Bellagio Fountain Show

When I got back onto the Strip, the Bellagio Fountain was running. I'm surprised that it would be working so late at night but I'm glad that it is. It always looks great. It's just too bad that I can't get over to see it because of how the sidewalks are constructed, not allowing anyone to cross the street. I'm sure that by the time I got to one of those overpass crossings, and then made it back to the Bellagio, the show would be over. I'll just wait until tomorrow and see it with Kathy. It's always better to share experiences like that anyway.Meer informatie

As I was walking back to our hotel room, I passed through this high end shopping mall connected to the Aria Resort and Casino. I was surprised to see that the decorations for Chinese New Year were still on display. They looked great and I was very glad that I got to see them. This dragon is so impressive!Meer informatie

Lucky Trees

These trees were all decked out in red Chinese lanterns. They aren't real trees, obviously, but they looked good and really contributed to the Chinese New Year theme. I think that Kathy would enjoy this display. It's too bad that she didn't come out with me but I understand that she's tired and this is too late for her. If she wants, I'll bring her back here in the daytime.Meer informatie

As soon as I see this big replica of the Brooklyn Bridge, I know that I'm back home, at least for the next few days. I really like the New York New York resort and think that it's the nicest hotel on this side of the Strip.Meer informatie

I'm a little surprised by the looks of this hotel and it's claims to be a recreation of New York City. It looks more like New York City from a movie set in the 1940's. Is this really what the rest of the world imagines New York City to actually be like? How strange..Meer informatie

Big Breakfast

We decided to have breakfast at Hash House a Go-Go in the Linq resort and casino. The portions were huge and everything was delicious! I had the Truck Stop Combo, which consists of a banana and brown sugar pancake, eggs, and sausage. The pancake was so sweet that I didn't even have to put any syrup on it.
Kathy got the Indiana Tradition which was bacon infused waffles, fried chicken, maple syrup reduction with leeks, scallions and onions on top. Her meal was so big that she couldn't even finish it. About half of the chicken ended up going with her as take out. I hope that we get a chance to come back her before we go home. Everything was fantastic!Meer informatie

This British phone booth was inside the Mirage, right next to the big atrium. You can't make calls but when you use the phone, you hear information about the Beatles Cirque du Soleil show. We're sort of both in this photo. Kathy's inside the phonebooth and you can see me reflected on the glass. I didn't even notice that as I was taking the picture. I'm surprised because I usually catch that sort of thing.Meer informatie

We didn't stay at the Mirage very long and soon found ourselves next door at the Forum Shops, a part of the Caesar's Palace resort. We've never been inside Caesar's Palace before. I don't know how we've never made it here but I'm glad that we're finally doing it on this trip.Meer informatie

I'd love to go shopping here but, as I don't care for high end luxury goods, there's nothing here that I'd be interested in buying.
