Alpengeist

German villagers have long told stories about a legendary snow beast they call Alpengeist, the Ghost of the Alps. Like any good ghost story, it's what you don't see coming that scares you the most.Leggi altro
Stained Glass

Right next to the Alpengeist gift shop was a great little sweet shop. I loved all the stained glass windows here. It really gave the place a classic old-world feel to it!
Saint Nicholas

Next to the candy store was a shop that sold all sorts of traditional German goods. There was a lot of Christmas decorations and even these big hand carved wooden figures depicting how Santa ClausLeggi altro

The Sweet Shop

I was feeling in the mood for a snack so I went back into the sweet shop. The chocolates looked very tempting but, since it was a warm day, I went with the jelly fruit slices. I didn't want meltedLeggi altro
Here There Be Dragons

The Land of Dragons was the children's area of Busch Gardens. We passed through it but didn't stay here for any length of time. I liked how colorful everything here is. I remember Veronica and BryanLeggi altro
The Carousel

The carousel in Busch Gardens was so disappointing! It was very dark and gloomy, with no lighting, and the horses looked very strange, as if they were deformed or something. I love to photographLeggi altro
A Noble Steed

Looking closer at the carousel horses, I can see why they all look a bit off. There seems to be too much flesh built up on their forehead, between their eyes and their noses. That makes them look likeLeggi altro
Back to Britain

By now, it was time for us to get back to England to see the show London Rocks. We knew it was a music show but, other than that, we had no idea what we could expect. At the very least, it would beLeggi altro
London Rocks!

The show, London Rocks, was much better than we expected. The music was mostly from the '60's and it felt like we were watching a concert from the day of Austin Powers. Groovy, Baby! It gave me aLeggi altro
Groovy, Baby!

We knew all the songs that were in the show and the performers did good versions of them. We ended up enjoying this show a lot more than I thought we would.
Rock On!

It's always tricky doing photography on shows like this. The bright, dramatic lighting is changing so quickly and shining in all different colors and the performers are all moving around so fast.Leggi altro
Duet

This show seemed to go by very quickly. I was just really getting into it when it ended. If we have time later, I wouldn't mind seeing London Rocks again.
The Finale

We had a great time at this show. The songs were all very good and were performed quite well. We both really enjoyed London Rocks. I haven't had much experience with concert photography so I'mLeggi altro
Diaster Strikes!

It was after we came out of the London Rocks show that diaster struck! Kathy had a bottle of water in her purse and, somehow, the cap came off, filling her purse with water! It was a nearly fullLeggi altro
So Call Me Maybe

It took Kathy a while to get her purse, and everything in it, dried up. I helped her wherever I could and wandered around the England area while she was busy cleaning her bag. This iconic red phoneLeggi altro
Back to Ireland

Once we finished in England, it was time to quickly head back over to Ireland to see the Irish Dancing show. We made it here just in time and almost didn't make it into the show because it was soLeggi altro
Let's Dance!

The seats that worker found for us weren't the greatest but at least we were inside and seeing the show. I was seated behind a tall person with a hat who was blocking a good portion of the stage fromLeggi altro
Ligeann Damhsa! (Let's Dance!)

The Irish Dancing show was very good, at first, but it quickly became the same sort of thing over and over and, after a while, I started getting bored with it. That guy blocking my view didn't helpLeggi altro
Time for Lunch

After the Irish Dancing show, we decided to take a quick break for lunch. We shared one of those giant turkey legs and, when we sat down, we had the entire dining area to ourselves. Being able toLeggi altro
The Escapee

On the way to our next show, Predators, we saw this hawk outside the show area. He had escaped from the show and they just caught him. That used a small leather ball with feathers tied to it to catchLeggi altro
The Wise Old Owl

Lots of birds of prey can be seen in Bush Gardens. This guy is so different from the friendly lorikeets we saw earlier.
Little Owl

This little guy looks kind of tired but most of the birds of prey that we saw seemed to be very cold and stern. They look as if they know they are mean and enjoy it.
Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?

The Predators show was very good and features wolves as the stars of their show. They were much bigger than I expected them to be. They look so powerful, too. It's hard to imagine that Yoshi and GizmoLeggi altro
Shedding

It was a hot and humid day today and I was really feeling the heat. I can only imagine how hot the wolves were with all that heavy fur. You can even see how much he's shedding as the trainer rubs him.Leggi altro
