Palawan - Arrival on the dream Island

    March 13 on the Philippines ⋅ ⛅ 30 °C

And this again is another one for the books! And a big one at that. That detour marks as one of the new seven wonders of nature on this small green ball that we are on. The sightseeing attraction was a long underground river. To be precise the longest on earth. This magnificent natural wonder features a navigable underground river that stretches for 8 kilometers through a limestone cave before flowing directly into the South China Sea.

The creation of the underground river itself is a natural process that occurred over millions of years through the dissolution of limestone by groundwater, eventually forming the extensive cave system. The constant flow of water through the caves helped carve out the underground river's path, creating the remarkable subterranean waterway that we see today. This gradual process of erosion and cave formation is a testament to the power of nature and the geological forces that shape our planet's landscapes.
